BIO:
Becky joined the firm in 1980 and became a partner in 1982. Her statewide practice specializes in construction litigation and professional liability defense for design professionals, health care facilities and practitioners, and attorneys. She represents her clients in federal and state courts, in both jury and non jury cases, before arbitration, regulatory and administrative panels, and mediations. Prior to joining the firm of Thompson & Bowie, LLP, Becky spent three years as a trial attorney with the Maine Department of Transportation and appeared before state and federal administrative bodies. Becky continues to represent the Maine Department of Transportation in eminent domain and other transportation litigation.

Becky has been an active member of the Maine State Bar Association since 1978 when she became a member of the Board of Governors. She remained a Governor on the Board until 1992 when she was President of the Association. She continues to chair and remain active on several committees, which include the Membership Benefits Committee and the Access to Justice Committee. She has also served as a Director for the Maine Bar Foundation and on the Professional Ethics Commission.

Currently, Becky is a member of the Maine State Bar Association (Past President), Cumberland Bar Association (Past President), American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry (Steering Committee for Division One 2000-2004).
