BIO:
In 1989 Cathy joined Thompson & Bowie, LLP and became a partner in the firm in 1995. Today Cathy’s litigation practice is concentrated in personal injury, product liability and maritime litigation. Her trial practice and experience are broad based, and encompasses the defense of workers' compensation cases and courts martial. Cathy has developed strong relationships with her clients and enjoys providing counsel and advice to them in scheduled training sessions, as well as on an informal ongoing basis. She has been an invited speaker at the Maine workers' compensation seminars and at Maine trial advocacy seminars.
Cathy is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from law school in 1985, Cathy joined the United States Navy JAG Corps. As a Navy Lieutenant in San Francisco, Cathy tried over 100 criminal cases ranging from simple assault to murder.
Cathy is a member of the Maine and Massachusetts Bar Associations, the Maritime Law Association and the Propeller Club. She practices in state and federal court in both Maine and Massachusetts. She and her husband, Brian, who is also a lawyer, reside in Falmouth, Maine. |
