Twain Braden, Paul Catsos, Lisa Peck, and Brendan O’Rourke participated in the Maine Homeless Legal Project (MHLP) for the month of May 2016. The MHLP, which started in 2014, establishes a clinic at Preble Street Resource Center at which area law firms are requested to provide pro bono legal assistance to homeless individuals. The legal issues encountered can be far ranging, including issues of parental rights and visitation, reestablishing acceptable identification for benefits, and social security eligibility. This is the third year the firm has taken a month to provide clinic services. Many thanks to Twain Braden for spearheading the 2016 effort, and the firm looks forward to providing clinic assistance again in 2017.
