Paul Catsos and Lisa Peck recently were featured speakers at the Tri-State Defense Lawyers Association 10th Annual Meeting in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Paul Catsos presented with Mike Liffrig of First Court, Inc. on “Cutting-Edge Jury Research: What Clients Now Get for $6,500” which explored how trial lawyers and claims managers use mock trials and focus group feedback to reduce the cost and uncertainties of litigation through sharing the results of a mock trial for a nursing home case. Lisa Peck presented on the panel “Amendments to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure: A Panel on the Changing Rules for Discovery” which focused on how the federal courts in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont have ruled under the new amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly on Rule 26(b)(1) on proportionality and Rule 37(e) spoliation of Electronically Stored Information.
