Twain Braden joined the faculty at Charleston School of Law as an adjunct professor of admiralty and maritime law. The Charleston School of Law offers Admiralty and Maritime Law in its J.D. and Master of Laws (LL.M.) programs. Twain taught "Maritime Liens and Vessel Arrest" to third year and LL.M. students, examining vessel arrest protocol, wrongful arrest, the varieties of maritime liens such as salvage, pilotage, appurtenances and necessaries, and priority ranking as to lien claims.
