About:
Hanni focuses her practice on property & casualty defense, commercial litigation and workers' compensation matters. In addition, Hanni is passionate about the rights of immigrants, and has experience working in various areas of immigration law, ranging from humanitarian to employment-based claims.

Prior to joining Thompson Bowie & Hatch, Hanni served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Donald G. Alexander, Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. While a student at Maine Law, Hanni was a student-attorney at the Refugee and Human Rights Clinic, working on asylum and special immigrant juvenile status cases. She is a recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award, as well as the Pro Bono Publico Award.

Hanni earned her B.A. in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine, where she graduated cum laude. Hanni was born in Finland, but has lived in Maine most of her life and currently resides in Cumberland Foreside with her significant other, Lincoln, and their pets Niko and Mars.
